A really good cafe can nurture inspiration and be so attractive that it becomes hard to part with. Most of the time, the cafe doesn’t need to have glamorous decor, as it captures the hearts of travellers with its rich, fragrant coffee and indulgent desserts. This time, our Nius-editors are leading the way to the East District of Taipei, where they will be sharing 3 of their favorite cafe joints with you--get ready for some awesome surprises!
Watchout, pudding fanatics! Located in the alleys of Taipei’s East District, “ARIELLEE café” not only has the most awesome caramel egg pudding, their savory food and even the drinks are delicious. If you like taking pictures, they have even prepared a few cute props in the store (just be careful not to break them) so you can take those Instagram-worthy pics! This is definitely a thoughtful, yummy and photogenic cafe.
As soon as you arrive at the doorsteps of Tzubi Coffee, their cute and attractive wall graffiti of store manager, Bao-zai, is right there to greet you! Other than sampling their high quality coffee, you must try their signature “Mt. Fuji Matcha Pound Cake”--a rich and dense dessert, perfect for washing away an irritable and fidgety mood in the afternoon.
Last but not least, “Ray Café” is highly-praised by fellow netizens for it’s great quality and prices. The owner says: “My dream is to create a good drink for everyone to enjoy.” Not only can you find good coffee at a reasonable price here, the white container ordering area and their cute logo design on their mugs also add a splash of happiness and vitality to life.
Other than these three East District cafes, there are actually tons of surprising cafes and shops in the area’s alleyways, waiting for all of you coffee and dessert fanatics to discover. Why not leave a little relaxing time to explore the area a bit? Try searching for these cafes that are both fun and full of their own character!
