When it comes to popular online-desserts, you definitely can’t miss out on Yannick’s Fresh Cream Roll Cakes, which are made freshly every day. However, once you place an order, I’ll bet a lot of people have trouble figuring out how to get the product. As a self-proclaimed foodie, Nius-editors still finds it annoying to have to get the cakes, to the point that I’d rather just not buy it. (How lazier can a person be? Yannick and Taipei Metro has worked together and created the “YTM" (Yannick To Go Machine). Starting from June, there’s an all new way to pick up group orders and online-sending services! After three years of expanding this project, in the future, there will be 108 MRT stations equipped with this simple, non-time-constraining “shop of the future.”
With the use of YTM, the most convenient service would be: “order online, pick up at the machine on the same day.” At the moment, the machine provides three products: the original flavour roll cake, which is the most popular for group orders; a seasonal flavour roll cake; and a YTM limited flavour (Hokkaido Cheese) roll cake. If you buy two roll cakes, the online discount price is 729 NT (limited to roll cakes priced under 420 NT), you can even choose to buy now and pick up later! (Maximum 2 roll cakes may be picked up/purchased at one time) We’re looking forward to seeing more dessert choices at these YTMs so all foodies can satisfy their appetite~ ❤
Although YTMs are unmanned shops, the machines are equipped with surveillance cameras. So the product’s status and storage methods are monitored during purchase to ensure better food safety. Plus, each box of roll cake comes with a lightweight bag and cooling pad. That way, anyone can enjoy high quality fresh cream roll cakes that “don’t cut back on ingredients, are freshly made and freshly sold each day.”
It’s just really awesome to be able to order the cakes online and immediately pick it up at an MRT station. For all you foodies out there, what are you waiting for?
